I founded Moonflower Ibiza in 2011. Not because the world needed another jewelry brand, but because I wanted to capture a feeling—
to encapsulate the unique, raw energy of this White Isle into something you could wear, touch, and take with you.
I wanted to make pieces that didn't just decorate, but brought out the natural glow you already carry inside.
But stories rarely start with a perfect business plan. They start with a problem.
The Friction
For as long as I can remember, my life has been anchored in the arts and handcrafts. My hands simply needed to create. But as I spent more time around jewelry, I noticed a painful barrier: every time I wore commercial, store-bought pieces, my skin rebelled. I was met with severe irritation, rashes, and allergic reactions.
The turning point was simple. When I stopped wearing mass-produced items and shifted entirely to my own creations, the chronic skin irritation vanished. It was as if I’d been cured overnight.
That personal breakthrough turned into a quiet obsession. I needed to understand why.
The industry has a hidden shortcut: To keep costs low, mass production relies heavily on low-grade base metals, nickel extensions, and toxic binders. They make things shiny, but they ignore the biological reality of the person wearing them.
Engineering a Pure Experience
I committed myself to a different path: master-sourcing premium, non-allergic materials and refining a clean, non-reactive process. I chose to prioritize bio-compatible jewelry that honors your skin rather than irritating it.
What began as a deeply personal quest to solve my own contact allergies quickly caught the attention of others. Private requests for custom pieces started coming in from people looking for the exact same truth. Slowly, organically, those requests evolved into what we have today—a structured, intentional collection.
